Avalon Mist

Along the canal again. I don't often look at canal boats but this one was really nice. That and there was mist on the water that morning. The photo had to be taken. IT HAD TO.

Btw - 'Avalon' was the name of an island in Arthurian Britain. Since much of the land had been drained since then nobody's really been sure where it is for a while, but evidence was unearthed sometime in the 1990's that Avalon is actually Glastonbury Tor in the west of England close to the Welsh border. It was once surrounded by deep marshes and could easily have been a lake at some point. Which the Tor (hill to non-British people) would stand rather proudly out of. It was a place of healing and in Arthurian legend, it was the Lady of the Lake which surrounded the isle who gave King Arthur his sword Excalibur.
